They’re told they’re just kids. They’re not.
They’re facing adult problems and very real consequences.
Five authors came together to write stories about the passions and fears faced by the toughest, yet most sensitive group. Real issues are brought forward, faced, and then dealt with.
Whether the world is real, or imaginary, these characters will pull you in and take you on a ride. You may find yourself sitting in the cab of a pickup, or on the back of a dragon; either way, it’s going to be an amazing ride!
Come along and discover how they move away from the darkness of unhappiness, fear, lack of love, and move past life’s tragedies.
Can they find the happiness and love each of us desire? The answers are within.
This anthology includes the genres of YA Fantasy, YA family issues, YA Dystopian worlds, YA Wizards and Magic, and YA Contemporary romance.
I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. I married right out of high school, and we have a beautiful daughter. When I’m not working on my books, you can find me in SimNation, or busting blocks on Minecraft. The inspiration for my books comes from my husband and the crazy things he comes up with.
Caryn Mahan began writing four years ago. The desire to write has been lifelong, but raising a family single-handedly and working has taken most available time. Now, she gets to spin tales to delight readers as well as spend time with her dogs, her horse, Annie, and silversmith. You can connect with her through these links
Lynn lives in a dungeon, deep inside a forest, located in a fantasy world of her own making.
Actually, she lives in the country and has designed her office to resemble a dungeon. Pulling the curtains and blinds, she likes to listen to the sounds of nature as she pounds on a colorful (because you should always have color in your world) keyboard all day.
Lynn has written a few romance (novellas) revolving around an imaginary world called Mach’Doshna. This particular story was inspired by her love of an RPG which shall remain nameless (ahem…wow). Right now, she’s working on branching off from Mach’Doshna and into the magical world of the RPG.
If you’re interested in more from Lynn, just come on over and check out the crazy world where dragons and lions turn into hot men and beautiful women.
Less formally known as Mary, lives in a dark dungeon where she is kept prisoner until she finishes the dozens of books she’s started.
Actually, she lives in the country and has designed her office to resemble a dungeon. Pulling the curtains and blinds, she likes to listen to the sounds of nature as she pounds on a colorful (because you should always have color in your world) keyboard all day. Her faithful companion, Travino is usually close enough to occasionally sneak into one of her stories, which happens frequently.
Mary has written a few fantasy (novellas) revolving around an Orc Princess. The Adventures of Lok’Toria was inspired by her love of an RPG which shall remain nameless (ahem…wow). Right now, she’s working on expanding Lok’Toria’s world by going back in time and explaining how the Orc Nation began. I promise there will be dragons and other mystical creatures involved.
When she’s not writing Fantasy, you can find her writing things a bit darker. Thrillers are one of her go-to genre’s, with an occasional horror tossed in for good measure.
D. E. Laxton
D.E., known locally as the old hermit, lives in a 120-year-old one-room schoolhouse with five additions. He is surrounded by farm fields, which require enormous amounts of Round-Up every year. Thus, his writing has become weirder over time.
He nurtures four rescued pit bulls. In return, they keep the varmints away. He is addicted to pickles and relishes, which he cans from his prolific cucumber, onion, and pepper garden.
If you find his stories enjoyable, please leave a review on Amazon. It gives him great pleasure and sends him to sleep smiling. Otherwise, he must imbibe some cheap bourbon to accomplish that goal.
D.E. has rejuvenated a long stale writing career and this short story is the launch point. Within a few days, there will be a sequel following Allie and Alex as they tackle their senior year and encounter some very unforeseen challenges.
